CICENDO, AYOBANDUNG.COM - PTDI is exporting again in the ferry flight activity of one NC212i aircraft for the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC) of Thailand.
The aircraft was sent from PTDI's Hangar Delivery Center, Jalan Pajajaran, Bandung, to Nakhon Sawan Air Base, Muang, Nakhon Sawan, Thailand, which will arrive on November 11, 2019.
The NC212i aircraft delivered today completes the contract to procure two NC212i aircraft between PTDI and A.I.C.E. Enterprises (Thai) Co., Ltd. with the end user Department of the Rain Making and Agricultural Aviation, the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC) of Thailand.
"The first NC212i airplane was carried out by ferry flight on October 22, 2019. The second NC212i ferry flight flight was delivered a month earlier than scheduled according to the contract in December 2019," said PTDI Corporate Communications and Promotion Manager Adi Prastowo in a written statement, Sunday (Sunday) 01/10/2019).
PTDI's Head of Corporate Planning and Program Management Sub Directorate Iwan Krisnanto reviewed the preparation and release of the NC212i ferry flight which would then be operated by the Department of the Rain Making and Agricultural Aviation, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC), Thailand.
Capt. Zulda Hendra as Pilot In Command and Capt. Billy Yudha Firmansyah as a Copilot flew NC212i from Husein Sastranegara Airport, Bandung to Hang Nadim Airport, Batam, and continued to Nakhon Sawan Air Base, Muang, Nakhon Sawan, Thailand, as the final destination. This NC212i aircraft can be used as passenger transport, VIP, cargo, rain making, troop / paratroop transport and medical evacuation which can be installed alternately according to the operational needs of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperative (MOAC) of Thailand.
"The NC212i aircraft has been fully worked on by PTDI. It means that PTDI is the only aircraft industry in the world currently producing NC212i aircraft, "Adi said.
To date, PTDI has managed to deliver 445 aircraft and helicopters, both domestic and foreign. PTDI has succeeded in producing NC212 aircraft as many as 115 units for domestic and overseas, from a total of 586 units of NC212 series population in the world.
The domestic operators that use NC212 series aircraft are the Indonesian Air Force, the Army, Navy, Police, BPPT, where the NC212 series aircraft is used for civil, military and Maritime Surveillance Aircraft (MSA) transport aircraft.
While foreign operators are Thailand for military transport and weather modification (rain making), the Philippines and Vietnam for military transport aircraft.
"The prospect of the aircraft industry currently has a fairly large market share, especially in commercial aircraft. The NC212i aircraft needs of the world for the next 10 years that is as many as 255 units. PTDI's future expansion plans are in the Asia Pacific and Africa, "he said.
